1486. Jonathan Avery
HISTORY: Book: The Groton Avery Clan, Page 126; Jonathan Avery was a farmer and trader; lived near the ferry in Groton and traded in horses to the West Indies. He was on the list of Groton freemen, 1708; and with his wife was in full communion with the First Church of Groton, Nov. 22, 1727. He had lot No. 15 in the assignedment of lots on the cove.
DEATH: Book: The Groton Avery Clan Page 126; He died in Cuba, of yellow fever, about 1741.
